Nicolé Keane
Nicolé Keane believes that financial knowledge should be intelligible and attainable for all. As a Certified Financial PlannerTM, she is dedicated to helping individuals and multi-generational families assess big life decisions and take the steps needed to realize their financial goals. Nicolé Keane works intimately with clients at all stages of their wealth-building and retirement years with a focus on the unique planning needs of independent women – whether widowed, divorced, or single by choice.
Nicolé has a passion for philanthropy and enjoys crafting charitable-gifting strategies to meet each client’s personal, financial, tax, and estate-planning goals. She co-authors Personal Financial Planning Handbook, a financial planning textbook published by Thompson Reuters, Ponderings, a financial newsletter, and was Associate Producer for Safe Money in Tough Times, a 2021 public television special focused on personal finance in the time of COVID.
Nicolé brings nearly 20 years of financial experience to the Dakota team, including eight years with Jonathan D. Pond, LLC, which Dakota acquired in September 2023. Earlier in her career, Nicolé was Director of Client Relations for Institutional Products at Winslow Management Company (an ESG focused asset management arm of Canaccord Adams, acquired by Brown Investment Advisory & Trust). There, she built relationships with endowments, foundations, and pension funds, ensuring their investments aligned with their sustainability mandates. She has held the FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 licenses.
Nicolé is a CFP® professional and member of the Boston chapter of the FPA (Financial Planning Association) and BWF (Boston Women in Finance). She holds a B.A. in English Literature from Wellesley College and completed the rigorous multidisciplinary Financial Planning Certificate Program at Boston University. In her spare time, Nicolé can be found in Maine, coaxing her 1850’s farm into the modern era, volunteering in her Boston neighborhood, and baking for friends and neighbors alike.
